Kids Place Child Care

COVID 19 UPDATE

School Age Child Care Registration 2020/2021 Update

The original registration structure for 2020/2021 School Age Child Care during a typical, full in person learning model, does not work with the 2020/2021 Safe Learning Plan of an initial start with Full Distance Learning and then the move to a Hybrid Learning Model.

All pending School Age Care registrations for the original School Age Child Care Contract for 2020/2021   for a FULL IN PERSON LEARNING Model will remain on your Kids Place Account to be reviewed in the event that the district is able to move to that learning model.  A registration fee for these contracts has NOT been assessed.

As outlined in the St. Louis Park Schools Return to School Guide, during the 2020/2021 school year Tier “1” Critical Workers will be granted priority in the Kids Place Child Care Program and will not be charged for care provided during the core elementary school day hours (7:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.) based on the Governor’s Executive Order 20-82. Morning and afternoon child care will be available for a fee.

A new registration for this care is required.  Registration will be open to Tier “1” Critical workers  only initially. The district will consider opening up care to additional  families if space and staff is available to do so safely.

Registration will be online during the week of August 24 for Tier “1” Critical Workers for the Full Distance Learning Model and the Hybrid Learning Model. There is a separate registration required for each Learning Model.
