Mission
The mission of St. Louis Park Community Education is to enhance the quality of life through lifelong learning and empowerment of people.
St. Louis Park Community Education is a department of St. Louis Park Public Schools. We support lifelong learning at every level, with programs for infants through senior citizens.
Community Education Advisory Council (CEAC)
The St. Louis Park Community Education Advisory Committee (CEAC) serves a critical role in assisting St. Louis Park Community Education (SLPCE) meet its mission. CEAC is composed of a cross-section of the community (residents, community organizations, students, teachers, etc.). Meetings are bi-monthly on the third Tuesday of the month. Most meetings are held virtually, with occasional in-person sessions.
CEAC supports St. Louis Park Community Education by:
– Providing advice and feedback to the Executive Director of Community Education about programming
– Serving as a line of communication between SLPCE and the St. Louis Park community
– Identifying community needs & assisting in the development of programming
– Developing and supporting community agencies, groups, and leadership
– Establishing goals, objectives, and evaluation criteria for SLPCE
– Assisting in the development of the SLPCE budget
