Do you provide care for infants and toddlers?
No. Minnesota Child Care Resource and Referral Network has a search option on it’s website at parentaware.org. that may be helpful in looking for care for this age group. Ask friends, family members and neighbors for referrals.
I am looking for a half-day program for my preschooler. Can my child come to Kids Place for just the mornings?
No. Kids Place offers full-day programming only. There are many other options for part or half-day programs in the district.

Can my child go to Kids Place for day care and also attend another preschool program in the building?
Kids Place is a preschool program. We are so much more than day care. There are a number of preschool programs which fall under the umbrella of SLP Preschool. All provide students a high-quality, kindergarten readiness environment. Kids Place is the choice for working families. Children in Kids Place will receive the same high-quality learning environment as the district’s other preschool programs, packaged in a full-day child care program.
Do you provide transportation?
No. Some of the Early Learning programs do provide students transportation to preschool at Central Community Center. Please call 952.928.6785 for more information.
How do I register my child for Kids Place Preschool?
Please submit an application online at this website. You will be contacted by the Kids Place Office about current availability after the application is accepted.
How do I register my child for Kids Place School Age Care ?
For Grades K-5 please register online at this website.
Does my child have to be enrolled in weekly care in order to sign-up for non school days?
No. However, you will need to register for a School Age Care Contract for the current school year to be able to register online for Non School Days. Please choose “Non-School Day” for your location choice.
